Step 1: Pick 5 numbers
For each play, choose five (5) numbers from 1 to 69 in the upper play area OR select the Quick Pick box in the lower right of the play area if you want the terminal to choose your numbers. You also can choose less than five numbers and have the terminal complete your play slip by selecting Quick Pick (QP).
Step 2: Pick your Powerball
Select one (1) Powerball number from 1 to 26 in the lower play area OR select the Quick Pick (QP) box in the lower right of the play area if you want the terminal to choose your Powerball number.
Step 3: Multiply your Winnings
For an additional $1 per play per draw, Power Play® multiplies your Powerball prize (excluding jackpot). Choose “Y” for “Power Play” on the play slip or ask the retailer for Power Play.
Step 4: Double Play
Adding Double Play gives players the chance to win additional prizes up to $10 million in a second drawing held after the Powerball drawing. Double Play uses the same numbers you played on your Powerball ticket. By adding Double Play to your Powerball ticket for $1 per play, you could win the Powerball drawing, the Double Play drawing or both. The Power Play does not apply to Double Play prizes. Choose “Y” for “Double Play” on the play slip or ask the retailer for Double Play.
Step 5: Multi-draw option
For your convenience, tickets can be purchased for up to twenty-four (24) consecutive drawings, including the current drawing, by choosing “Multi-Draw” ($2 per play per drawing, $3 per play per drawing if Power Play or Double Play are selected, $4 per play per drawing if both Power Play and Double Play are selected). Your ticket will be valid for the draw dates shown on the front of the ticket.

If you win a Powerball jackpot, you will choose how to be paid: Cash Option or Annual Payout.
Annuity option: If the annuity option is selected, the winner is guaranteed to receive 30 graduated payments over 29 years. The annual payments increase by 5% until the 30th and final payment. The 30 payments added up equal the value of the annuity.
Cash option: A one-time, lump-sum payment that is equal to the cash in the Powerball jackpot prize pool.
- In accordance with the Mississippi Lottery Corporation prize payment policy, all instant game prizes must be claimed within 90 calendar days of the announced end of the game. Postmarks shall not constitute satisfaction of the 90-day requirement, and the risk of mailing tickets remains with the player.
- In accordance with the Mississippi Lottery Corporation prize payment policy, all draw-style game prizes must be claimed within 180 calendar days after the draw date. Postmarks shall not constitute satisfaction of the 180-day requirement, and the risk of mailing tickets remains with the player.
- Only original tickets will be accepted to claim any prize.
- Prizes under $600 may be claimed at any Mississippi Lottery Corporation retailer. Prizes between $600 and $99,999 must be claimed at the Mississippi Lottery Headquarters or by mail. A Mississippi Lottery Winner Claim form, proper identification (ID) and the original ticket must be provided for all claims of $600 or more. Proper forms of ID must name, signature, photo, age and Social Security number. If mailing, send required documentation to the Mississippi Lottery Corporation, P.O. Box 321462, Flowood, MS, 39232. The Mississippi Lottery is not responsible for lost or misdirected mail.
- Prizes of $100,000 or more must be claimed at the Mississippi Lottery Headquarters located at 1080 River Oaks Drive, Bldg. B-100, Flowood, MS, 39232.
- For instant scratch-off games, the number of prizes is established at the time of printing and will change as prizes are won.
